Am now sitting in the same cafe that belle3388 was sitting in. She alreday checked out of th Hilton Amsterdam where my wife and I stayed on the 3 for 2 deal (about $108 per night.) Of course she is on a mission to get her hh gold challenge done and so checked into the Hilton at the schipol for one night. Now if you are someone who is not into a lot walking (this does not apply to my wife, myself or belle3388) then you could stay at the airport and take the train, (one every 10 minutes - 15 minute ride into town) it is less than the amsterdam hotel. Although I would not do that as it seems you would probably have to walk a great distance everywhere except the easyEverything internet cafe.

If you fancy somewhere that isn't just another big chain hotel, try the Ambassade on the Herrengracht . This canal is in the heart of everywhere and are converted houses. Privately owned it is regularly full as it is very very popular. The owner loves it and it shows. The rooms are roomy confortable and the breakfast is excellent. I thoroughly recommend

Could somebody post the address of this webcafe? Do you know if they had reasonable rates for printing? I will be in AMS 3/23-24 and will have a need to use it in order to print out some work to do on my flight home.

American Hotel is located by Leidsplien square where there are a lot of restaurants and places to hang out. This hotel is also affiliated with the Inter-continental chain.

They have 2 of them in Amsterdam, one near the Rembrandtplein and one near the Centraal Station, you can't miss it. I don't know about printing rates but I wouldn't worry about that too much - don't expect hotel rates.
