Flood Control
I just got this reponse from FlyerTalk.
-------------------------------------- Sorry! We have flood-control activated. You cannot post within 60 seconds of your last post. Please try again after this period of time elapses. -------------------------------------- It is getting a bit annoying. |
seawolf,
On those rare occasions that I have received that particular notice, I have checked and found that my post has already gone through. It appears that maybe the Submit Reply button has a hair trigger. I believe it is picking up that we have already posted once and are trying to, immediately, post again. I think we probably just type too fast. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif [This message has been edited by Punki (edited 03-10-2000).] |
I get it every now and then for exactly what it says....trying to post within 60 sec. of my last post...so I just sit and wait.
Dorian p.s. ironically, i just got it with this post...so right now i am sitting and waiting http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif |
I think it will be good for eliminating unintentional double postings and "flood" postings. I have had it happen to me but it is accessible within seconds. After all, by the time you make one post and go to a new thread and read, you usually will take up a half a minute or more.
