Two points:
CO- the flights to and from LAS have some "interesting" personalities, as I'm sure you're aware. Ignore the comment. It would have come if the movie was Gone with the Wind. MA- EWR can make a sane person unstable, and a calm person quite angry. The current rennovations have people going to where bathrooms were only to find them closed, and to where stores were only to find them boarded up. This stress only adds to that of an airport which used to be NY's secret, and now carries much more traffic than it was intended to. Add a late plane, an unfriendly agent, and a headstrong idiot passenger and you have the combination that is in litigation right now. IMHO the condition of EWR is a powderkeg ready to blow at any time. |
Catman I give a furball to Big Daddy too. Except for the URINATION scene. (Hopefully medical terminology gets past the cat-censor).
doc, I'm old enough to remember... great movie. |
Hey, CO757...you work the LAS-EWR redeye often? I'll be on it thus Sunday.
And by the way, I plan to sleep, but in the event I can't, I won't complain a bit if you replace Mickey Blue Eyes with Mystery Men. The movie never breaks the flight for me...it just makes it a little more pleasant on the rare occasions that I choose to watch. A reasonably timely news broadcast would also be welcome (you get BBC World on BA and KLM...haven't seen it anywhere else). And I'm tired of the EWR bashing! I like EWR the airport, I love metro-NYC, and I'm sure I'm the only person on this board who will ever say it, but I love Newark, the city! (Parts of it, anyway.) But then, we'll see how delayed my 7:50 departure is tonight as to whether I'm wailing about EWR in the morning! |
I'm an excellent driver.
