I loved Phuket, Thailand.

Second place was the pacific coast of Costa Rica. Very secluded black sand beach.

I'll second the Phuket area of Thailand. Mine was a beach along the Andaman Sea in southern Thailand. Can't remember the name of it. But they're all nice.

I vote for Cable Beach, Broome, Western Australia.

Mainly because it's the nicest one I have been too and I only live about 2.5 hours flying time away..

It's so well-known by now that it's almost a cliché, but Bondi Beach near Sydney has to be on the list. (Not just because of the decorative human scenery, either.)
