Single Passenger Upcharge on AA
I am sure I read in one of the many flyer forums I read that airlines, specifically AA, often charges more per seat if you are booking one passenger as opposed to 2 passengers. I just verified this and it is real! Is there a work around this totally unfair pricing structure...like book 2 seats and cancel one later? This is crazy!

Are you talking about booking seats or booking flights?
Reason behind is that they think you're travelling for business when you travel alone. |
Booking a seat on a flight.

AA charges you more per person on some flights/routings when you're a single flying compared to when you're booking for two persons.
