Do you just sit still during flight, not read, not watch movie
Apparently the newest trend
No listening to music
No watching inflight content
No drinking
No eating
No laptop/phone activity
Just sit in your seat, and watch the IFE map (if available) the entire way.

This is truly the art of being bored and allowing your thoughts to occupy the time.

I don't think you see able to eat or drink anything while on board.

I'm happy to sit on a plane and do nothing, but watching the IFE map non-stop would ruin the relaxation for me. I don't see the point of forgoing water, or food if it appears edible and I'm hungry -- I'm happy to be only partially trendy in that regard.

I think “no eating/drinking” pushes the envelope of practicality a bit too far, esp on TCONs or long overwater flights, but I’m a window seat addict and just get totally “in my zone” because there’s a lot of cool stuff to see from the windows
more to the point, though, I rarely if ever care about anything that may be on IFE anyway, and I rarely if ever fire up my work laptop because I’m very cautious about infosec
that said (from my AS flight that doesn’t have IFE, but does feature a shrieking toddler in 1F
), I’ll usually track on my phone with FlightAware or FR24< geek alert >

thanks to FR24, I knew this was N777UA (the first production jet) en route SFO-IAD; seen from AA2793 CLT-SEA on 21 May

I put on the flight map and zone out for most of my flights but I do it while wearing headphones and listening to music so I can't say I reach full raw dog status.

Yeah, for whatever reason I don't feel the need to watch movies or tv while flying, but I do enjoy food and drink, sleeping and the occasional IFE map
Not being a frequent flyer, being on a plane is a joyful experience in itself for me

People have been doing that on planes since commercial aviation started. As a teenager, I regularly flew solo SJC-LAX on PSA, and that was exactly what I did, except I was looking out the window instead of at a map on a screen.

I might not watch a movie, listen to music, drink or having something to eat on a flight because there's nothing I want to see or hear and I'm not thirsty or hungry. I am not doing so because some goofy "influencer" declared it's a "new trend" and I'm sure as heck not going to brag about it on the internet.
