I'm flying from Lands End (Penzance)(PSC) to the Isles of Scilly (ISC) this year. It's unusual in that they are tiny planes, but it's one of the only ways of getting to the Scillies so in that sense it's not unusual.

LH's EWR-DUS has always struck me as odd. It's their largest German city to Newark and it's flown on an A-340-300 in three class configuration.

Last year, we did Kan Air from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai on the Cessna. Only flies twice a week and seems utterly pointless, as the road between the two is much better than that to Pai. We were the only two passengers on board!

Must have taken the hint since Chiang Rai isn't on their map/schedule this year.

Several years ago I flew ALB-RDG on Continental Connection, certainly a weird flight for them to be operating considering that CO themselves didn't fly to either airport at the time. I can't remember who the actual operating carrier at the time was, but I do remember it was operated on a Beech 1900.

My company uses this flight frequently since our HQ is near DUS. Have never had a UA GPU fail on this route.

Not sure what's so odd about it? The Rhein/Rhur Region houses hundreds of multi-national companies and especially Düsseldorf is a economy hub. It is not always practical to go to FRA from there. To add, Düsseldorf is by far not the largest German city, the current ordering would be: Berlin>Hamburg>Munich>Cologne>Frankfurt>Stuttgart> Düsseldorf

Btw, I did a lot KID-TXL which is probably new for the board here :D

SVO-LPL via PRG. Given LPL is my hometown and I'm based in Moscow, having a flight with actual connections to LPL was something of a miracle!

Although stupid me booked an 18 hour stop instead of a 2.5 hour stop...

I love using DUS as a connecting point (assuming I'm flying somewhere that requires a European connection). Pretty chill airport, easy place to connect in contrast to the sprawling labyrinth that is FRA.

It was even better when Airberlin existed and you could do some odd Oneworld (AA+AB) itins. The ORD-DUS flight was usually nowhere near full. Getting MCE as a Gold was a 100% hit rate for me, and I'm guessing Y -> J upgraders had a decent hit rate as well.
