I want a moat with gators and crocs to discourage coach passengers from using FC lavs and otherwise crossing up to the FC or business class cabin. If you keep enough big gators or crocs for them to reproduce, the babies will eat the flies.

The Fly Swatter cabin dividers are just another indication that the bean counters are running the airline.
I personally prefer VX's cabin dividers. I also prefer the use of real curtains that foreign airlines use, especially on long haul flights as they keep the galley lights and some of the noise out of the F and/or J cabins. |
Why can't people who get an upgrade to F answer the question? Why is it only for F payers?

No need to go to that length. Simple razor wire will do the trick.
I like a divider that is see through so that the suffering peons can watch the toga orgies we have in the front of the plane. |

I hope one day to also have 36 letters in my username. Maybe I'll request a change to goooooooooooooooooooooooooooobluetwo. But seriously, what are these fly swatter cabin dividers? Do they have an automatic setting to swat back coach passengers who try to cross the demarcation line between F and Y? |

All whiskey tastes good when it's free. When asking for an opinion about a brand, I might want the views of those who had actually been willing to pay out of pocket for it over those who enjoyed some free drinks at a cocktail party. I don't have status and always fly coach unless using FF miles. Even then, the premium cabins have gotten so expensive in terms of points that I'm not sure I'll pony up the points in the future. In the olden days I could fly Delta business class to Europe and coach home for about 77,500 points, but those days are long gone! I don't know the OP's motivation for phrasing his question as he did, but this is my best guess. As a peon who has sometimes wiggled his way into the front cabin, I understand this reasoning. |
Obviously there is something going on in the first class bathroom experience that I don't know about, because it is just a bathroom to me - no reason to be exclusive about it.
By the way, been a little while since I was on DL - what are these new fly swatter cabin dividers? Can someone post a pic? |

The coach passenger who uses the first class bathroom is no different from the large passenger who flips up the arm rest and claims half your seat. They are taking something they aren't entitled to and the airlines have a duty to police this. I'd also like to know what a "flyswatter" door looks like. Maybe I'll see when I fly in about 10 days. |

On my recent flights the FAs have rarely drawn the curtain, and it's been quite a while since I've even heard the "please use the lavatory in your cabin" announcement.

Next time OP flies, I'll pay someone on the plane $100 that's in the Y cabin to go stink up the F lav.

One could argue that there should be more of a hard divider between the dirty, unwashed masses crammed into general steerage in the back to keep them from interfering with my pre-flight drink while seated in F.

I recommend Claymores and heavy machine guns. |
The hard divider suck for the peons in the bulkhead. The soft dividers allow ample leg room, under seat baggage storage (freeing up overhead storage), these dividers weigh less so a long term fuel savings. If those in the front of the bus think the hard dividers really do something you are sadly mistaken. Regardless if you are in front you are still on a bus with 200+ other people.

Based on experience, I disagree. The massed horde merely sacrifices one member who lies across the wire, and the others use that one as a bridge.
I recommend Claymores and heavy machine guns. Belt fed M-60's are great but those babies tend to heat up. Shoot in three second bursts. ;) |
