Aisle access, please.

In many instances, the price difference between a 1-2-1 and a decent 2-2-2 (or similar) makes the slight angle worth it.

Flat bed. Even in one of BA's window seats, it's no hassle for any fully mobile person to step over the legs of the person in the row behind's aisle seat to get out. The window seats on BA are also a lot less exposed.

Depends on flight duration / time I think. For night flights / long flights definitely x1000 flat bed. Angled flats are horrendous for sleep, I find myself invariably waking up every hour or so to 'push' myself back up the bed.

On day / shorter flights where I don't expect to sleep so much I'd probably go for aisle though.

As said above, most decent business cabins give you both, but given a choice, always flat bed (even on a day flight as I prefer window).

During the day, window seat over either. At night, flat bed.

Aisle if I am alone. If I am with a partner, fully flat.

Are there examples of airlines with business class seats that are NOT flat beds but DO offer 100% aisle access? All of the 1-2-1 examples I know are also true flat beds.

Is there even an airline with all aisle access that doesn't have flat beds? I'd say flat beds are almost the norm but all aisle access is the new trend. I can't think of any examples who don't have flat beds but do have aisle access.

Didn't some of the old business eats essentially go fully angled flat, or practically so, in a 2-1-2 on 767s and still leave a little room to get past the person beside you? This is going back before I knew how to get up front, so only from observation. I could be wrong.

Flat bed, a no brainier

Aisle access. Angled flat seems fine to me, but I think it is a personal preference. Other factors are often more important, though, such as the overall quality of the airline, access to showers on arrival, and ability to upgrade for miles at booking. I may well decide my flight on the basis of those things, not aisle access or 170 versus 180.

Flat bed with aisle access, every time. But if I had to choose, then aisle access.
