How could I acquire large scale models of commercial airliners?

I often see the physical stores/branches of different airlines in my town. I see that these stores usually have massive scale models of their company aircraft (about 1 meter long or longer). Where do they get those?

United had a store at their training center, that was a decade ago so I'm not sure if it still there.

They're called executive or exhibit models, run at a scale of 1:50, and run a few hundred USD each. They're (supposed to be) a licensed product (licenses from both aircraft manufacturer and airline), and if the airline itself has a store you may be able to find it there.

Here's the link to one company that produces these models:

If you ever get to Miami, The Pan Am flight training academy has a great store for vintage Pan Am stuff. (I guess "vintage" and "Pan Am" is redundant)

Try http://www.aviationretaildirect.com/

They have a store by LHR which you can easily get to next time you're in the LHR area.

They have stacks of large models but I'm just not sure who they're made by. Maybe email or call them...
