About chinese tourists (again)

About chinese tourists (again)

I agree. I'm of Asian descent and am often embarrassed by tourists from mainland China.

The article makes it clear that they did give it back. The way your post is formatted suggests they did not.

yes but only after tour guide intervention.

However it's not necessary that Chinese tourists behave worse than tourists from other countries, it's just the sheer number of Chinese traveling or studying abroad.

are those Singapore Air stainless steel knives and forks made in China in the first place?

Arises from fact that they like to travel in groups, and taking cutlery in a whole group is more noticeable than an individual doing so.

I don't understand anyone who does it though, like are the cutlery you have at home that crappy?

Im an american born to korean immigrants and am constantly embarrassed in the presence of chinese tour groups when abroad, as the local population thinks anyone that looks SE asian must be chinese

Oh the joy of telling people im american when i go to africa...

This is amusing but not unusual. I have seen similar behavior among passengers in the Middle East and India as well.

Both sides are going to have to adapt. Chinese travelers are going to have to learn western norms if they want to be welcome in western countries. But western countries are also going to have to try and understand Chinese culture if they want the Chinese tourists to keep coming and spending money.

The headline does not match the original article (unless Yahoo changed it).
