Why no kids class??
 

I guess we all suffer from the crying baby, the free grown kid who kicks your sit or just run amok on the plane. I am sure many more would be willing to pay extra for a family free zone on the plane, much like lounges or spa at hotels where only 16+ will enter.
So why no airline in the world has this?

I thought Malaysia Airlines said no kids on the upper deck of their A380 (which has some Y seats as well as J). And then no kids in F either. So technically, you can have a child-free zone in all 3 classes on that plane.

Because it's not practical despite some people mistaking their want for a need.
As mentioned by another poster, there is atleast one airline that does offer "no kids" cabin where you will not have kids kicking the back if your seat, but adults lelaning with all their weight on your seat back when gettiing up or sitting down.

Because when I get on the plane and sit in my kid-free zone, I will be pissed off if there are no kids on that plane AT ALL. So I paid extra for a kid-free plane that ended up being kid-free anyway! Will I get my money back? Not likely.

So I'll take my chances... Sometimes I lose, but most times I win.

Having a no kids section on a plane is like having a no peeing section in a swimming pool.

In other words, until the fabric curtains become soundproof, kids may continue to disrupt your flight (possible double decker plane exception).

Why can't they just ship everyone under 30 as cargo? Problem solved.

I have had more issues with this sort than crying babies or out of control small children.

Kids and babies are kids and babies...what do you expect?

What irritates me is the "Do you know who I am's" or the Drunk Obnox Class!

I was on a Delta flight yesterday CDG-ATL, and it was clearly a flight where children were running amok. Sitting next to me was a 10-year-old who was in the middle seat and whom I was glad to allow full use of the armrest. But he seemed to think the only way to use it was to stick his elbow four inches over into my seat space. I finally got the thick duty-free catalog, set it upright against the armrest and wedged it in place with my arm, thus creating a wall that gave my neighbor full use of the armrest but disallowed an intrusion into my space.

I sure wish I could have done something besides glare at the eight- or nine-year-old girl behind me who was doing something with my seat for the first five hours of the flight -- kicks, hard opens and closes of the tray table, you name it.

There was actually quite a show in front of me with two brothers sitting across the aisle having a play fight that they might have if they were in a swimming pool (without the water, of course), slapping their arms and legs and one another across the aisle. (After quite a while, the father moved one of the children to the window seat, a brilliant move). After that, the other brother would occasionally lean his head all the way around the seat back (usually from the side, not the top) to see what was playing on my laptop).

And there was one mother who felt that every time people returned to their seats because the fasten seat belts sign was turned on made for a good time for her to get up and "walk" the baby, which of course gave the FAs fits. There was a lot of screaming going on, but I had some music.

Children are bundles of joy, but their ought not be any problem with allowing all that joy to stay in one spot. I happen to think older children tend to behave just fine, especially when with a parent, but young kids can't help it and need the benefit of a special section.

I would love this. They should put kids and their parents in the back where the smokers used to be, and develop rules that nobody under 12 is permitted to sit in F or C.
