yapta.com, anybody use it?

I did a search for yapta and came up empty which really surprised me. If I somehow just messed up the search and there is something on this I apologize.

The site www.yapta.com claims to track prices and notify you of price drops so that you can claim a refund or voucher.

The site claims to have identified $250MM worth of savings since May '07.

Does anybody have experience with yapta? Anybody saved money?

FWIW, I just tried the URL you offered and it worked. The site is 100% North American oriented.

I successfully used that site flying on Alaska Air over Christmas and ended up saving ~$100/ticket. Alaska doesn't charge a change fee so I have a few hundred $ in credit on Alaska now thanks to them!

Didn't work for me

I used Yapta recently to track a Jetblue flight. Put into yapta a purchase price of $265. I still kept checking the jetblue site, and one day saw that the price dropped to $225. Yapta never notified me. I even clicked update price on Yapta and it still showed $265 as the current price of the flight. Useless.

I used it for a Qatar Airways flight from CDG to Phuket. I saved around $100.

I've used it successfully a few times, but I've had trouble intermittently getting it to return AA flights.

I've used it a few times and it can be useful. Hasn't saved me money yet though. I would say it's worth the effort to use, and doesn't cost any money so why not?

I've looked at it, and I think I may have tried an alert or two, but it didn't seem to do anything my existing regular sites don't already do.
