What is the Silliest Thread on FlyerTalk?
 

There are so many threads now that involve questions like - what is the biggest, smallest, largest, most, least, best, worst, longest, shortest, fastest, slowest etc.......

So I thought it would be fun to list the silliest. I'll start -

This one. :D

You can also search for "unmitigated," "upgrade flirt," or "stink shield" in the CO forum for some pretty good stuff. The thread about "wing glitz" (TBuzz, I believe) was pretty awesome, too.

Just take a look at TalkBoard Topics Forum right now. Any thread you pick from the 1st page will fit the bill perfectly.

there is usually a thread in each forum asking this question, so that would be like the semi finals :D

I would search for terms like

what compensation am I owed
why won't they let my bag as a carry on
so I said to them Don't you know who I am?
How was I supposed to know a five dollar fare to India was a mistake?
democrat
republican

and you would generate quite a list of silly threads.

As someone who flies coach 98 percent of the time and is just fine with that I'd have to say the "bla blah blah got upgraded and I didn't" threads. But I know I'm in the minority on that one...

This thread from the DL forum is a good candidate.

Lol.....its really hard to find silliest threat on flyertalk, there are thousands of threads. very difficult to find one.

An argument may be made eventually with this one.. as there are going to be a list of the funniest threads compiled..

"Jeff Smisek has destroyed a great airline" gets my vote, for the title if not the thread itself.

How about those that start:

"I'm looking for a good fare to Paris..."

OK, could you fill us in? Departure city? Dates of travel? Elite status?

Any thread in Omni that's crowdsourcing legal, financial, medical or automobile purchasing advice.

Seriously, I am surprised that this thread has lasted as long as it has before the moderators closed it. FlyerTalk doesn't usually tolerate internal dissent. . .

That was a very humorous, light-hearted thread: had the potential to become a FT classic, yet, for some unexplained reason, it got shut down.
