Mixing business with pleasure- Is there a phrase?
Lets say you have a 2 day meeting with a client in L.A on a Thursday and Friday, and a one day meeting with a client in Vegas on the following Tuesday.
So, you want to finish up the Friday meeting late afternoon in L.A., catch a flight to Vegas, enjoy the weekend there, then work from your hotel room on Monday ( staying completely in contact with all clients and work), and complete your trip with your Tuesday meeting, and a flight home.
Of course all this on the company dime.
Is there already a FT phrase for this? Or some version of what I detailed?

If you are from the East Coast and would be staying in either LA or Las Vegas for the weekend, then I don't see why the company should care.
But if you are from LA, then I don't see what possible argument you could have to get the company to spring for a weekend in Vegas.

Fringe benefits. Except you have to make sure the weekend portion is approved by the office, or justify it by pointing out if you can that the money saved is more than the money spent in coming home then leaving again.
But generally, the clever biz travelers know how to wisely get pleasure time in!

Whats funny is one of her co-workers called it a "boondoggle' as well.
I think it it's just "smart" planning :-)

The ultimate win is showing that the hotel to stay in town over the weekend is cheaper than the fare to fly you home and back.
