I don't know for sure, but a few years ago, I was able to get a same-day passport (made out of paper, not the full book) and it cost a lot. You can try and see if it can still be done. Good luck!

You'd need to get an appointment for Monday. There are also third parties that expedite... might find some open 24x7... they might be able to tell you what they can do and by when.

You have an appointment, so you'll probably be okay. Photos, money, birth certificate, driver's license, an old expired passport will all be helpful if you have them.

The reason for your trip doesn't matter. You should, though, bring a copy of your e-ticket/itinerary to verify your travel plans.

This is correct information in order to get an emergency passport in 24 hours ... ask the passport agency if you can pick it up the same day or early next day ... best of luck!

You will actually be reporting the loss of your valid passport and applying for a replacement, NOT applying for a completely new passport (it's a technical, but important, distinction).
To get a better understanding of the process, go to
http://travel.state.gov
Then click on the"Lost and Stolen Passport" link.
BTW - the fact that you posess a paid international airline ticket is sufficient justification for your emergency appointment. Best of luck, and please let us know how it turns out.
