Yes. To the extent that the airline publishes it. You would find it on the Fare Results screen by clicking on the View Routing icon on the right side for a particular fare. You will see something like this for a Y fare on UA JFK-NRT:

MPM FARE - ROUTE NOT APPLICABLE
MAXIMUM PERMITTED MILEAGE IS 8084

Thanks a lot for the tip, wouldn't have guessed it.

... I will probably set up at grease-monkey script to substitute the images I don't wish to see with the basic seat map.

i.e. The images http://www.expertflyer.com/include/i...tguru-good.png, http://www.expertflyer.com/include/i...tguru-poor.png, http://www.expertflyer.com/include/i...guru-mixed.png will be substituted with http://www.expertflyer.com/include/i...available3.png.

I have seat up a Greasemonkey script to make all seat images the basic versions.

This script substitutes seat guru specific images with the generic one as well as disabling Seat Guru mouseover pop ups.

If any would like more information in this script, please PM me.

Hi EF and the users!

I am a bit lost. Is there any option to get extended flight information such as electronic ticket availability, traffic rights (ie no local traffic for international carriers), specific flight status (online transfer only with AF, for example) etc???

Regards

We would have to research that. Please send us an email with some examples of what you are looking for and we'll take a look.

Great, I will; but please complete new routing rules implementation first! I understand you have limited programming resources.

same here... but I usually don't have that many tabs open...

I wonder if paid users can do that? I have been using the 5-day trials for about a year. (but only used every couple of weeks)

What could be the reason for that?

This has now been fixed. The issue was that the D9 metal code share flights that show up when you specify SU as the airline aren't returning availability class information and that screwed things up on our end.

Noted. When we next update our back end architecture, we will make changes to allow this. The free trial is just a 5-day term for our Premium service.

No, paid users can't refine a query from a different tab, nor an old query (once the logout timer fires). Not even premium users can do this now.

Yay! This will make a huge difference in my ability to make full use of EF! I am very happy to hear this. :D^

Did I mention how much I'm looking forward to this?

That's interesting that you want EF to make improvements, but aren't willing to pay for the service.

No, it's not something we do often. When we do it, we'll announce it.

How is this possible? As a paying premium member, I feel cheated; I should switch to your business model. :)

Ummm... wow... just wow... that is seriously lame and I probably wouldn't have admitted that on a public forum.

These guys provide a great product for a fair price; if you find it useful (and obviously you do) consider paying for it like the rest of us.

LOL

I like how he plays it really cool and as a matter-of-factly. Then he goes on to justify it by saying he does it every couple of weeks.

I am continually surprised at the low ethical standards of some people. I doubt the folks at ExpertFlyer are raking in millions. Anyone who can afford several hundred dollars for a ticket can afford another ten bucks for a one-month subscription.

I am not, however, surprised that this user was suspended. I don't know why and am not asking here, but I've seen several of his (guessing that this is the correct pronoun) other posts. One was about running the shower all night in a Las Vegas hotel room (in a desert) to improve humidity. Another was about beating radar traps in Switzerland. I don't recall any that made meaningful contributions to, or asked meaningful questions about, travel or FF/FG programs. I smell a troll, Maybe, just maybe, this post was a troll too.

I still think the blue should be slightly faded to make the available seats stand out more, but this is a HUGE improvement and is MUCH better on the eyes.

I just found a perfect example of what I'm trying to explain. Notice how your eye is drawn to the unoccupied seats. That's because the occupied seats are faded out.

I agree on both counts. This is much better, but could be tweaked more. The available seats should stand out more than the taken ones. Perhaps switching the colors, or making the available seats have a blue outline (with the same red/yellow/green colored corner for desirability as now), while taken ones have a gray outline?

aktchi Dec 5, 2010 6:18 pm

While I could learn and adapt to any scheme, I personally think that most colors draw more attention than white/off-white/light-grey. So it would make sense to show available seats in color (any color) and occupied ones in white/off-white/light-grey.

For one example, this is just what AA.com does. Go to aa.com, mouse over Reservations and click "view available seats", enter any valid flight number and date to see what their seat map looks like.

The duration of an existing subscription can't be changed, with or without a coupon.

I took the question to be "Can one use the coupon when renewing an existing subscription," such as purchasing an additional year on an annual premium subscription.

Why this Scrooge like behavior? :) You should limit normal advertising to other times and perhaps to other forums. This is Holiday season for everyone. Any gestures announced in the name of the Holidays should be for all members, old and new.

Money is money and should be usable for buying any service you sell. I have all sort of gift certificates and none of them bar current customers from using them to buy whatever they wish. GC means you already got the money, you have things to sell, so sell. Conditions and restrictions tell me that some screws are loose somewhere.

Or is it simply the urge to reward those who have been abusing the free-trial feature, and shut out those who have been paying all year? :)

lopinc1 Dec 11, 2010 9:14 am

The way I read it anyone can purchase a Gift Cert for someone else, no problem there. EF setup a gift system that apparently has the sole purpose of being able to give an EF subscription to someone who doesn't already have it. Ok fine. Just because you can't now use it in a way that it wasn't intended to just to get an extra discount for yourself, although you may not like it, doesn't equal "Scrooge like behavior".

Agreed. I am a subscriber to another service outside the travel realm and when they have sales you can use it to extend your current membership. This is why I asked. There is nothing wrong with the way EF has set up this promotion.

Well, the poster did put a smiley after the phrase "Scrooge like," which I took to mean it was in jest, not serious.

aktchi Dec 11, 2010 7:41 pm

My post above (#315) does not suggest anywhere that EF do not have the right to tailor their offers how they wish. I am no genius user of the classical or online English, but "Scrooge-like" meant "un-Christmas-like act during Christmas season", and the smiley that I was more amused than anything else.

However, inviting people to give you their money while putting restrictions on what they can and cannot buy with it, does seem to bring a "Soviet touch" to the marketplace and customer service. :)
