In fact I don't really understand the "View Codeshares" option.
For exemple, if you select Air China, without showing codeshares, it does show the flight between GVA and ARN (CA 7093), which is... a codeshare flight. In the box, CA appears in the "Airlines" field, not in the "codeshare" field... |

I'm seeing what looks like errors with codeshare flights
Examples: the AA codeshares on MH are showing as AA-metal flights (when I am displaying only AA flights, they still show when I toggle the 'show codeshares' button) same for US codeshare flights out of SIN

These errors are still there
I presume it's bad data causing them? |
I'll try to make an update in November.
There is no single data source - routes.dat is compiled from multiple sources. |
Many thanks for the update to come !!

An update in November would be fantastic. All of your efforts on this are greatly appreciated.
Tys90 has not posted in awhile. I was wondering what is happening with the user updated version of the data files. The last version on Google forms is from May 9, 2014. A while back Tys90 mentioned that your June 2014 version still had some errors and inconsistencies. Are these documented or tracked somehow so that they may be addressed in your next update? |
Thank you, cockpitvisit ! A most valuable tool ^^^
|
I'm looking forward to the next update myself!
|
Awesome! Thanks. Are there currently any new changes wherein I need to input on custom?
Oh, and by the way, how do you magnify in and out? That's the only thing I haven't been able to figure out. Thanks. |
To zoom in and out, you can use your scroll bar or press the +/- keys on your keyboard.

I didn't know about the +/- minus keys - perhaps that should be added to the help screen? By Scroll BAR, I presume you mean Scroll WHEEL, yes? |

Hi Cockpitvisit,
Your help has been unvaluable until now ^:). When do you plan your next update? I am very sorry for the lack of updates, but please understand that this is a hobby project. Getting the data done does take quite a bit of work, and sadly I didn't have enough time for that in the past months. |

You launched Airline Route Mapper back in 2008, and it would be really neat to see your earliest maps, since airlines and their route maps have changed so much over the last 6 years. Is there any chance you could put a 2008 map, 2009 map, 2010 map, etc. back up on the webpage? That way, we could see the rise of DXB, the fall of CVG and MEM, historical DL and NW routes, etc. I would really appreciate it and I think others might too! I have tried using the Internet Archive to look at older maps but it doesn't work too well. Thanks! |
