How do you track your points and miles?

Sorry, in advance, if this doesn't belong here...wasn't sure if I should put it somewhere else...and I don't have access to post on SPAM. Also, I tried a search on keywords and didn't see this discussed...

With so many points / miles offers out there that don't post miles immediately, how do you remember what you signed up for and if your account was credited?

Do you keep a tracking spreadsheet or do you have another system? What do you find works / doesn't work?

I keep it all up here (*taps head*). Unfortunately, that's why I forget so much of it. :D

It is a part time job. I keep a file folder on my desk where I put print outs of everything I am supposed to get miles for. Boarding passes, rental car receipts, hotel folios, online shopping shipment confirmations, etc.

I review it about every four weeks.

I have been accused of being cheap. I will walk out into the airport parking lot and find an abandoned luggage cart before I pay for one. (They are always free in Europe but cost about $2-3 at airports like Atlanta)

I use MileTracker to make sure the miles post and use Office OneNote to keep track of anything that should earn me miles, e.g., online shopping, etc.

MileTracker is cool! (and free) :)

What is Office OneNote?

It's just another Office product designed to help keep track of random "notes" you might have. It's not the most organized way of keeping notes IMHO and I should probably start using Excel to keep track of miles, but the copy/paste ability comes in handy with online recepits.

I use Miles & Points .. it has the same "engine" than MileTracker, but looks a little "cleaner". Unfortunately, it's only in German.

MileTracker gets my vote as well. Great and easy to use.

All I use is simple excel but that is formated to keep a running tab with travel. Handy also to let me know what weekends are open for more travel.

Nice program, but is there any way to get it to monitor dates when points may expire?

I create an Excel spreadsheet for each FF program I possess and I enter the mileage amount everytime I've completed a flight segment that qualifies for such mileages.
