InDepartures.com - Alternative/Replacement for GateGuru
Hey guys, interesting reading about GateGuru. It's a shame it doesn't exist anymore.
I'm currently testing a project of mine that offers crowdsourced ratings, tips etc for airports around the world. Currently still developing and adding features based on demand etc and slowly onboarding test users at this stage (crowdsourced data is limited so far).
If you're are interested in having a play around... I'd love the feedback etc.

I just tried it out, and hit the free usage limit way too fast (only looked briefly at 2 airports, about 30 seconds). Then entered my email address and it still wouldn't let me continue (still can only see prompt for email address and notice that I hit the limit).

Now I've clicked the link in the email to confirm my subscription, but I still get this error when I try to sign in: "You must complete your registration before you can log in, check your email or contact [email protected] for support."

Hey!
Yes there's a waiting list at the moment before I on board people to test. I think you've had an email from the waiting list subscription.
You should have a received a simple invite link (do check the spam folder) to register.
Thanks,

There's a typo in the reply-to email address. It bounced because the reply-to address was apparently configured as "hellow@indepartures.com", where it should be "[email protected]". If you manually edit the address and resend the email it should work.
PaulJames99 needs to look into this, though.

Hey, yes the typo has been fixed. This is for a email waiting list sign up. Once on there I send an invite to users to register.
I've sent one yesterday (please check your spam folder YYZPolarBear).
Apologies, I couldn't reply yesterday due to posting rules on this forum.

Hello before I sign up for the waiting list, can you explain what the project is about? I only saw a few items like parking, wifi for a specific airport, but is it a service that provides ratings for each airport and terminal?

Thanks for your interest. We're building this project in public, so changing/adapting with feedback and testing. This way I can respond quickly and ensure I don't build features that people don't want etc. At the moment we don't have a huge number of ratings/tips but we're slowly gathering them.
We have the ability to rate certain amenities or terminals as well as leaving tips/comments, there is also information regarding shops, food options, lounges etc (you can also leave tips on these).
We current have: AMS CDG EDI EIN HAM LGA LIS LCY LGQ LHR STN LAXLTN MAN DPS SIN BKK YYZ
We're slowly adding airports as we go too.
So this is very much a developing project. You may find the odd bug/issue with the site on occasion.
If that's something you liked to take a look at then sign up and I'll send you access

Thanks!
