hi...

i inherited a sony SZ laptop from my wife and need an extra power adapter. instead of the standard sony oem ones, any suggestions for a good travel system for ....
- plane / car inverter
- usb power for accessories (phone, ipod, garmin, bluetooth, etc)
- compact without zillions of pieces
- good quality...

i know kensington, igo, and others are in this market, just looking for pros/cons/user-experience

personally, i like my kensington (http://us.kensington.com/html/13874.html) due to the fact tt i can use it with wall adapter for home use and cigarette outlet (12v) on my motorcycle. have no experience with igo and the rest, so can't comment on that. kensington comes with several different adapter tips (smartTips) so you'll have to make sure it works for the model of your laptop (compatibility chart: http://us.kensington.com/html/13675.html). hope this helps.

I really like my Kensington 33197 too, except that they won't give or sell replacement cables. My AC cable has an open circuit in some positions. Kensignton wants me to buy a whole new unit in order to get a new AC cable!
