Google TiSP
This should make hotel connectivity a bit easier...
"Google TiSP (BETA) is a fully functional, end-to-end system that provides in-home wireless access by connecting your commode-based TiSP wireless router to one of thousands of TiSP Access Nodes via fiber-optic cable strung through your local municipal sewage lines." http://www.google.com/tisp/install.html |
I've been running a TISP Linux server in the shed out back for years. Problem is, I have well and septic service, not connected to the municipal system, so it only serves as a replacement for a WiFi lan. I do have occasional problems with clogged pipes inhibiting bandwidth.
Google also announced today: a service to snail you paper copies of your e-mail, as reviewed here: http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus...0704011710.htm |

That pesky "last mile" problem finally solved! A brilliant alternative to dark fiber.

LOL:D make sure you drop your poop to weigh down the wires better.
Sugestion: eat lots of unriped bananas and high fiber food to ensure solid poo. |
When I first read this I wondered how they spoofed google's URL. Turns out it was an inside job. Nice to see a 150 Billion dollar company can have a little fun!
