Turning off the "anticipating" pointer/mouse?
There is a function on my laptop that I use for travel that is driving me nuts....when I move the pointer to something it anticpates that action and quickly opens the program or completes the action before I can left click.....is there a way to turn this function off....I would prefer to be able to left click all my actons and control it better....

I'v never heard of anticipating function of touchpads. You can go to pointer options tab in Mouse properties in Control P anel ti disable automatically go to default button or something like that. You can also disable "tapping" somewhere in the mouse options.

Go into your mouse settings as above and look for the feature called tapping and uncheck it. At least that's what my mouse (synaptics on a dell) calls it.
Tapping on the surface of the TouchPad is the same as clicking the left TouchPad "mouse" button. However, tapping is usually quicker and more convenient than using the mouse button.
It's irritating and drives me nuts. I'm glad you posted this, it reminded me I wanted to shut off the tapzones option too, that's been driving me nuts too.
