Came across this web site while trying to figure out why my Vonage calls were so horrible this week. Never did figure it out, but quality seems to be back now.

I had to shutdown Zonelabs firewall to get it to work, not too fond of that..

I live in Los Angeles, have Lingo VoIP, DSL that is about 400K/1.5M

4.0 to Boston
3.8 to London and San Jose
3.3 to Sydney

Not sure what to make of it, but you might find useful for comparison.

I did not have to do anything with my AVG 7.1 Plus Firewall to get it to work.

I live in Des Moines IA metro area, use Vonage, DSL 1.5/896:

4.2 to Boston, San Jose, London, Sydney

4.4 to San Jose, CA. I am 40 miles away in Santa Cruz. San Jose is a different area code and a toll call.

There are lots of discussions on www.vonage-forum.com on how to use the detailed information contained in testyourvoip.com information to pinpoint where problems might be coming from with your VOIP connection.
