Does anyone in UK or Ireland know what the cost & length of contract is to buy and use a Vodaphone, or similar, 3G card for a laptop? Does it work throughout Europe?

You can access 3G services in Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Vatican City, Portugal, Austria and Finland.

Where there is no 3G network coverage available you will seamlessly transfer to 2.5G where we have a partner network.

3G and 2.5G services abroad are dependent on coverage and device compatibility.

Not sure about contract length.

Contract length is almost certainly 12 months regardless of the tariff chosen. On Vodafone, Pre-pay service is only available on 2.5G GPRS and costs GBP4.00 :eek: per MB.
