Firefox - error message following aborted update installation
I got the message that there was an update to Firefox so I decided to download it.
When the installation shield came up, I decided I didn't want to close all of my files that were then open, so I cancelled the installation. Now, whenever, I try to open Firefox I get the following message: "The program must close to allow a previous installation attempt to complete. Please restart." I've restarted countless times now, and still no luck. Is there a way to reinstall Firefox without losing my passwords and favorites? Thanks. |
You can re-install it and you won't lose anything. You can even remove it, then re-install it and you won't lose anything.
I do it all the time. The data and customizations are stored separately from the program itself. -David |

(...) The data and customizations are stored separately from the program itself. -David This is preposterous !!! I'm sure Microsoft would have done it differently !!! :D :D :D |
