Microsoft gets into the Map game. Hah!
Just a small example of Microsofts brilliance...
1. go to <http://mappoint.msn.com/DirectionsFind.aspx> 2. start address Norway / city: haugesund 3. destination address Norway / city: trondheim 4. press get directions |
I guess Micro$oft knows how beautiful Norway is.
|
Both "quickest" and "shortest" are ridiculous.
|
And make sure you keep opening and closing your Windows when taking this scenic route.
|

Hmmm, the quickest way to get from point a to point b is 47 hours, 31 minutes for 1685.9 miles of distance travelled, not including ferries, and the shortest way is 51 hours and 22 minutes for 390.3 miles travelled, not including ferries! Quite the scenic route for a trip that shouldn't last more than 8 hours! :D

i always thought that mappoint & microsoft's street&trips/autoroute software share the same database.
i know that in autoroute 2003, oslo is the only place in norway where they had info. the map information for norway is probaby not very complete. |
And yet when you click reverse directions, it takes just 10 hours and 45 minutes. I guess some major roads are one way. ;)
|
The scarey thing is that I know some people who would actually folllow the directions.
