Busted Blackberry

My 7100t cannot charge anymore. The port that the charger plugs into is broken, the plug in thing came right out. I am in Australia, and bought the phone in the US Can I warranty it out here? Or am I screwed and need to buy another phone? The 7100 goes for 800$ from voda phone I believe. So I ma have to buy cheapie. Any advice?

You are indeed screwed.

However, the 7100 has an external battery charger option you might want to consider.

The Vodaphone version will not work with your T-mobile sim.

I think you are well on track to winning the person who manages to wreck the most cellphones.

Scott, Thanks for the first line, made my day Anyway I may be in luck I went to a repair shop, and two hours later they said they should be done in an hour, now hopefully they will fix it. As for this external battery charger? Can that be picked up around the SYD area? I need service all the time, and I am consiedering just buying a cheapie tri band to use till I shove this one down Tmobiles throat. Anyways thanks for the reply, and I swear this time it was not my fault!

Cheers

If youy run into someone really handy then they might be able to solder the USB connector back onto the circuit.

I'm really not very up to date on the Ozzie cellphone industry, so no idea where you could get one. Anyway, you might want to consider a different model anyway, the 7230 is much more sturdy than the 7100.

Another update. the 7100 is a POS! It is not charging at all. It says it is but is not! So plug it into a computer to charge, nothing. So I ended up buying a new phone. And to make things even better. The shop gave me the wrong sim chip back, and I tried to get a refund on the repair.. So they do not like me there and I need to go back today and get my sim chip... If I knew how to transfer my berry data to a sim chip it would be flying out a windown right about now!
