So, I'm confused, the Kindle Oasis everything you wanted in the Nook but the Nook app will not run on it?

It's not in Amazon's interest to allow BN/Nook ebooks or apps (or any other ebook app for that matter) from running on a Kindle. The Kindle is basically just an e-ink tablet that is highly optimized for one app: Kindle. It does it really, really well. When I used my Kindle paperwhite, I would guess that 80-90% of my books were sideloaded from other sources.

That makes sense. What I didn't understand was the post I responded to.

sorry, no. There are ways, I believe, to get the books from the Nook store and convert them and side load them. I haven't looked too deeply into that.

The Nook formatted books can be converted to Kindle format with available software using a Windows PC. No need to side load. I made the transition from Nook to Kindle.

Which software did you use?

“Any ebook converter” is the software which I used several years ago. I would avoid Eupdor.
