Back to Firefox (Quantum)
I was a long-time user of Firefox, but switched to Chrome a year or so ago because it was faster and seemed to offer more in the way of add-ons. I still kept Firefox around for a few things that just didn't work as expected in Chrome.
But I'm back to Firefox now, baby ... Firefox 57, aka Quantum. It seems much faster, and especially when coupled with TamperMonkey, gives me a lot more (and significantly faster) control over the appearance of my web content. PS. Keyboard shortcuts for text properties in the FT post editor stopped working for me at some point with Chrome. It's nice to have them back with FF. |
Keyboard shortcuts used to not work for me either, but they work fine now on Chrome. I suspect it's the FT site upgrade rather than your switch to FF which allows for it.
I haven't tried FFQ yet, though, although the reviews are positive. Looking forward to trying it. |

Ugh. I had been using FF for several years until today when I went back to Safari on OS X. The "new and improved" UI on the Mac version make the recent changes to the FT site look brilliant.

Or you could just use Opera and have everything work regardless. Unless it's broken at the other end, of course. (& lots on FT is)

Haven't looked at Opera in over a decade. FF with a few add-ons and a bit of JavaScript can do wonders for a poorly designed (or user-hostile) web site. Perhaps Opera can do the same but I already had an investment in configuring and customizing FF.

Maybe once TMP and few other key add-on's that have been deprecated are updated as WebExtensions.

Another useful add-on I use daily is called TableTools2, and I'm not sure if that will ever be updated. :( |
