CM may not be around much longer; and even less involved with making their own AOSP OSes. It actually was probably a good decision for OnePlus to go in-house.

iPhone has a lot of LTE bands, more than other brands.

Does HD Voice work on calls out of the ATT network (eg not ATT to ATT calls?)

OnePlus camera does not hold a candle to Samsung's cameras. Also there is no support for wifi calling, VoLTE, or HD Voice on AT&T. Believe it or not, those were significant factors for me in buying the Note instead of the 1+3 or more likely, the Nexus devices.

Root achieved on Sprint, Verizon and AT&T and it doesn't trip Knox ... XDA has the skinny. Unfortunately you have to kiss Samsung/Android Pay goodbye :(
I used Nova Prime on my (very) recently retired HTC One M8. I tried TouchWiz for a couple of hours and didn't find it to be as crappy as earlier versions. The one thing that really bothered me, though, was the lack of auto-rotate on the home screen. I should've gone straight back to Nova Prime, but when I googled for an auto-rotate hack the first thing that came up was Google Launcher so I installed it. That seemed OK, but doesn't have scalable icons or an adjustable grid size. So back to Nova Prime and everything is coming along nicely :) I have decided not to bother with rooting this device, and Good Lock has helped significantly with the UI. |

Hadn't heard about Good Lock, will have to look into it.

Because the defaults are good enough? I haven't felt the need to change either of those on a phone in a long time.
Kidding aside, having those huge icons on a device with as high a resolution and as much screen real estate as the Note 7 makes it look like the smartphone version of the old Jitterbug flip phone ... |

My Nexus 6 has a bigger screen (or maybe roughly comparable, if the Notes still use a separate off-screen button row) and the same resolution. 6x4 icons in the app drawer, and 6x5 icons on the home screen seems fine to me.
:D 6x5 in the app drawer, and 7x6 on the home screen. Significantly reduces the need to flip from screen to screen and doesn't look or feel crowded at all. |
Perhaps I've got beefier thumbs?
Actually, I mostly just use the 3 of the 4 buttons at the bottom of the main screen for apps. |

For those of you who bought/pre-ordered the Note 7, are you regretting it after hearing of the 'explosions' that happened in South Korea today?
I think 5 or 6 of them have burst into flames while on charge. |
