Specialty Alarm Clock App
I'm looking for an alarm clock app for my father. Currently he's using his cell phone (an old Kyocera flip) to wake up every 2-2.5 hours over night. I'm hoping that there's an easier way to do this for him, i.e. set the alarm once and it will automatically set additional ones at the 2hr interval. Although he's got the flip phone now, my mom's old iPhone 5c is at his disposal, as are several other androids (4.0 and up.).
Does this even exist? |

On the iPhone you can have several alarms you can have 1 every day 1am the 2nd one 3am etc. once set up you can forget about it ( you can even specify dates etc.)

How about using a timer function and set it to 2 hours? When he hears it go off, he can restart it right away or a bit later as he desires.

Maybe soothing like this (more for a lamp of a stereo but you'll get the idea)

Does this even exist? If it's for medical reasons, I suggest this: Medcenter Model 70210 Talking Alarm Clock And Medication Reminder https://www.amazon.com/MedCenter-709...+drug+reminder https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....NL._SX522_.jpg |

You did not mention why he needed to wake up every 2-2.5 hours.

It is for medical purposes. (if you have omni access, you can read about it here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/omni/...html)We're wanting to keep it on a phone because sometimes when he's having trouble sleeping he'll go into the guest room or basement. If it isn't mobile, he just won't use it.
There's also a vibrating reminder watch? https://www.amazon.com/WobL-Black-Al...reminder+watch |
I would try to find an online forum/support group for people suffering from the same illness. Maybe they have a tested solution ....
Maybe something as simple as a digital kitchen timer. Set it to 2h > start > Alarm goes of > hit stop > hit start ...... (disadvantage possible too many buttons to do that repeatedly while being half asleep). Just throwing out ideas. |
This, or another medication reminder app, might do it:
