I bought a couple of Anker USB-C cables that seem to work OK in my USB charger. So, no need to carry the Apple charger around.

Any retractable ones? I love retractable cables for traveling! Wonder if the new Macbook Air will have USB-C and then I'll have too many MagSafe chargers laying around....
