Long time Blackberry user, started with the Curve, then upgraded to the Bold and then went to the Q10 the week it was released. Very happy with the Q10 as I really need/want a physical keyboard.

I had used BBs since a RIM950, before they had phones in them. At one point I had two BBs on different networks. A few years back I switched from my 9650 to a Droid Incredible 2. I was really disappointed with the Droid and went back to the 9650. I should add that this is my personal phone, I have an iPhone from work. So when the Q10 comes out I got one. Many (maybe most) of my old apps weren't available. I got really frustrated with it and got a Moto X and installed Swype on it for typing. I think I am at least as good at typing with Swype as on a keyboard, maybe better. And I really like the modern Android phone. I keep thinking I will alternate a bit and reactivate the Q10, but when it comes to it I just end up not doing it.

That phone would be pretty widely usable for calling / texting. Data is where things get dicier.

That curve supports:

GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100

According to this chart, it should handle at minimum 2G in every country listed

Feel like an idiot, but I don't "get" that chart....

I'll take your word for it though.

Disclosure: don't care about data. That's what my iPhone is for. Just want talk/text.

$80ish bucks for that phone...good price?
