The full story is here
http://www.pcworld.com/article/20100...erts-warn.html But even if you do need to use them (there are several sites for example we need to use it for), click through to the Microsoft page and follow the steps they outline to better protect yourself until they get the patch out. The Microsoft Security Advisory from yesterday is here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s...visory/2757760 |
I only use it for the very few sites that don't support Firefox anyway.

I stopped using IE years ago anyway.

Yea. I haven't used it for years either. If I site won't work with Firefox, I'm not seeing it. Although I suppose I would try Chrome or Safari. But I can't recall running into a site that I couldn't see with Firefox, although there was a thread here a few years ago about such a site if I recall correctly.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B206 Safari/7534.48.3)

I've already downloaded and installed the MS EMET tool. I use IE only for the web-enabled corp page that allows us to get email. It'll also work for FF but the layout is totally screwed up.

Lucky for me that ms doesn't make a version for my mac.
