iphone non-web-based notes app??
Thanks for your time and please bear with me here.
I am not sure my subject title is completely accurate, but here is what I am attempting to do:
I am taking my US iphone to London. I will be keeping it in "Airplane mode" for the entire trip as I have a UK cell phone and will be using the iphone merely as a PDA. I have many lists and documents I keep on my iphone/laptop that I will need so I would like to somehow cut and paste onto a notes app on my iphone (here's the rub) that I will still be able to access when my phone is in "airplane mode".
Is this possible? Do you have any suggestions? I use Evernote a lot and even though I can see the lists as icons when my phone is in airplane mode I cannot open and read the lists themselves. They come up empty.
Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

You could pay for Evernote premium service ($4.99 a month, discount for full year, I believe), which should give you offline storage on iPhone.

I now realize what I should be looking for is a documents app. I am going to give Good Reader a shot tonight. It lets you upload PDFs as read only documents which is all I really need and gets good reviews for that. I will report back!

if you look on youtube at this page, and some of the side pages, you can see how to use it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJapx8h_-5w

Success! And I didn't even have to download another app! I did a little research re: evernote and found out how to be able to see your notes when you are offline (I have the free version BTW). When you are viewing your notes on your device (phone, etc) a little grey star icon will appear in the upper left corner. Click on it and it will turn blue. You have now made it a "favorite" note. All "favorite" notes can be viewed offline (in airplane mode on an iphone). I either exported my documents as PDFs and attached the files to a note or copied and pasted them into a new note. All colors, icons, etc remained as on the original. I now have access to all my receipts, itineraries (with all my color coding, yay!) and lists available at all times with no paper to lug around. I am one happy traveler right now!
Antichef (love the handle) - I will check out the tutorial now. Thanks!
