Non-US proxy server for video?

I'm looking for a reliable proxy server, preferably in Canada or Europe, that is fast enough to stream video. I wouldn't mind paying a reasonable fee.

Anyone have any experience with one?

Are you serving the video? Otherwise, why not use a VPN. Look at:

A VPN would probably be better than a proxy. Strongvpn.com is a good one.

I'd be receiving, not serving. A VPN would be fine, so long as it had adequate bandwidth. I don't really care about anonymity, high-end security or the like, just bandwidth, reliability and price.

Best Tech support on VPN

StrongVPN is the only VPN service that has 24x7 live tech support. I am a retired airline employee who still travels the world. I pay only $7/month and have access via my Mac and ipad and iphone to watch my Netflix, HBOgo, Facebook, etc.

I second the VPN route if you're just viewing video.

Before I setup my own server in my house, I used SurfBouncer when around the world - it has servers in various countries (US, UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc...) so you can pick the one geographically closest to you and hopefully get the best bandwidth/latency.
