Golf Pants
Just thought I would put this out there incase anyone else was like me and had no idea about golf pants for travel.
I'm in the process of planning my first trip to Japan. Heading over for two weeks and want to one bag it. I happened to be in Chicago so went into the Nike store for some research on shoes for the trip that would be comfortable and look good. I happened to go into the golf section and stumbled on golf pants. Dri-fit material and look like dress pants. Nike doesn't have a size that will fit me so I went online. I ended up getting a pair of Under Armor Match Play Tapered leg pants. How have I not discovered these pants until now? They look great, are cool even in the warm Denver temperatures this week, don't wrinkle and are incredibly comfortable. They look like they will pack down almost to nothing and look great when I take them out. I will be able to wear them with a t-shirt, a golf shirt or a dress shirt and shoes for nice dinners in Japan. |
I am a huge proponent of golf pants for travel. They're comfortable, somewhat stretchy, virtually wrinkle-free, and reasonably priced.
I have two pairs of Nike Dri-Fit pants. They fit very well and I love the notch cut in the cuffs. It allows the legs to fall perfectly over dress boots without a huge break in the front pleat. UA makes similar pants. They're next to impossible to find on sale, unfortunately. I love their Match Play and Bent Grass shorts. Izod (now Van Heusen) makes comparable golf pants, but the quality is slightly lower. However, you can usually find them in outlet stores for $15-$20 per pair. |
Yep, this was covered somewhat in the "best pants for travel" thread^
Uniqlo has some nice options right now. My husband is stocked up at the moment so we didn't buy (we went to the big store on Fifth Ave when we visited NYC last week :p) Shorts too, though personally I like the version that Costco had last year over the Uniqlo version.... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trave...ns-needed.html http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trave...ggestions.html |
Yesterday I bought two pair of these type of trousers at the Mountain Warehouse outlets. On sale plus the 4th of July 20% off, they were less than $12/each. Ladies, of couse but I'm sure they had men's as well. I'll be in London next week and will stop by at Uniqlo. Very flattering on me as well.

Unfortunately they usually don't have them for those of us with short inseams :(

lululemon abc pants are pretty nice and comfy as well.

I like the Haggar Cool 18 pants. Comfortable, with a stretch waist band. The non-black colors seem to wear the best.
