I did, and they helped a bit. I understand it's difficult to prescribe a solution for this kind of thing online. The video was way more helpful for me.

I placed the order for the 40 Classic. It was also nice having a reasonable shipping ($15USD) charge to Canada.

Great product at an unbelievable price, you won't regret this purchase!

I guess that's the upside to what's going on—being able to score some good deals. That said, I would still rather have things be "normal".

Just a note to any Canadians ordering—my order was $388.00 USD ($566.00 CAD) but the duties came to $175 CAD. I knew there would be something, but that's crazy.

I fit a 40R in a Kickstarter blazer almost perfectly. I ordered a 40Long in Bluff, but the sleeves were a touch short and I couldn't button it across my midsection.

It would probably look a bit awkward if I actually put an iPad in one of the big inside pockets, by the way.

I bet you're getting hosed on USD/CAD exchange rate as well. I think it's back up to 1:1.4 again?

I ordered a brand new one as a replacement to try and stall the rate of wear/tear on my original blazer -- turns out the cut has changed slightly at some point recently. Namely, the sleeves are slightly shorter (~1 inch or so). The inside chest pocket liner is now a metallic orange contrast finish, rather than a matte orange.

I posted about this earlier in the year. At some point in the past 2 years, they changed the fit somewhat. I'm on the fence about ordering another one in this latest sale (I want a light grey blazer) but I'd have to pay a lot more to the tailor to fix the collar now, compared to just needing sleeves taken in.

No doubt. This is why I rarely do any cross-border purchases. Not sure what sorcery they use to figure the duties (which were $105 CAD of the total). Likely didn’t fall under the NAFTA bubble, as all the Bluffworks stuff is made in China.

Anyhow ...

Fedex dropped off the package a few hours ago. Thankfully, everything fit.

In the order:
- Gramercy Blue Hour Blazer (Classic Fit)
- Gramercy Blue Hour Pants (Tailored Fit)
- Departure Jeans Black Dark Wash

I ordered the pants in my regular size. I initially wondered if I should have ordered the Gramercy Pants in a slightly longer inseam, but I’m okay with them as is. They just kiss the tops of my shoes, so it’s a more contemporary look. The Gramercy material is very nice. Doesn’t look or feel like polyester at all.

I made the right call (for me) and went with the classic blazer over the slim. It’s somewhere between the Bluffworks slim and the traditional, more boxy blazers. The sleeve length is perfect. Now my J. Crew Ludlow feels a bit baggy.

I doubt I would have ordered these if it weren’t for the sale, but I’m glad I did.

I've been very pleased with my Johnston and Murphy XC4 Knit Blazer. They're going for $169 online now which is $100 less than I paid at Christmas.

Just noticed that they have a new Hopsack Blazer now. Looks interesting.

What kinda fabric & airiness do these have?

BigMoneyGrip Aug 15, 2020 12:11 pm

50% off all Bluffworks blazers and suit separates now.

SportsTech Aug 16, 2020 10:18 am

Pandemic pricing - email announcement says this sale is simply needed to convert inventory to cash to get through the crisis; most of Bluffworks' business is driven by travelers, and we all know how badly that is being impacted right now!

Hardly any availability, sadly.

After requesting swatch samples, I picked up 2 Gramercy blazers in my size and colour choice.
Likely going to request Presidio swatch samples and continue to take advantage of this 50% off sale.
