Currently I am 20 (that's right - not even 21 yet) but through my employer I have a Thrifty card & Corporate Code.
Does anyone know if they will allow a 20 yo driver on a Corporate Rate? I know some states don't allow <25's at all, but I know that FL does. It clearly states on the Thrifty website that drivers 21-25 on a Corporate Code can both drive the vehicle, and avoid the underage surcharge...but what about those of us < 21?
All help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris

A 20 year old bud was able to rent in Ann Arbor, MI a few years ago--- no corporate acct. or anything. He had to pay an extra underage fee (I think it was +$10/day for 21-24 and +$20/day for 18-20.) He needed Thrifty segs for a promotion, and in my research, I found that age policies varied widely by location. I remember Lexington, KY allowed drivers 18-24 for only $5/day.
Call the location, or sift through details of rules on travelocity, and you'll eventually find specifics for your location.
Which city are you looking at?

Hi Chris,
A quick call to the Orlando Thrifty office at (407) 380-1002 yielded the following:
generally (without corporate rates, etc.) the min. age is 21. Hmm. If you do have a corporate account, you may want to call for specifics.
Separately, Thrifty offered a Collegiate program-- I've never gotten clear information on details, or which universities qualify, and the website says it's no longer offered.
Reading through different rules for Alamo, Thrifty, and Dollar, I see you can't rent from them if you're under 21.
You may have bettet luck by checking with smaller places-- and there are plenty in Orlando. gool luck!

Well...I tried the same thing and didn't have luck. But as we do with airlines, I plan on calling back a few times to see if I get someone I like.<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Originally posted by Viajero Joven:
