Suvarnabhumi Arrival Fast Track Area
 

I read that the Arrival Fast Track area for business class is no longer between the two main immigration halls. Has someone recently arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport in business class (not purchased VIP Fast Track) and can confirm that ?

tons of threads about fast tracks at Swampy in this forum as well as the TG forum...why open a new one?

the fast track between arrival hall east and west was closed during Covid but has long been reopened: there is also another fast track at arrival hall east on the right side behind the counters for Thais

The fast track between arrival hall east and west was closed in May this year. Was told then that fast track counters have been moved to the main immigration halls but those were not staffed in both halls.

I am wondering if the original fast track area was just renovated and has since been reopened since the signs throughout the terminal were not changed in May and were still pointing to a closed fast track entrance or fast track is now permanently in the main immigration halls.

The entire arrivals immigration setup has indeed been renovated, but everything is open nowadays as per BinSabai’s post

must have been a temporary closure...

Arrived this week at BKK and headed to the Arrival Hall East.

At the entrance from D wing, a groundstaff was telling to a group of passenger in front of me in English, that the Immigration is not granting fast track anymore to Biz Class passenger...:confused:
the path to the right was only for "Thais"

So I proceeded further to normal boots...when I saw that there was a certain queue waiting, I approached another ground staff in Thai about the fast track for premium passengers. Without further discussion he opened the barrers and told me to go to the far right and one passenger behind me followed....the fast track was totally empty :rolleyes:

Sounds familiar - happens often for me as well. Really annoying, to be honest.

on the other hand that keeps the fast track free from congestion (not like the fast track at departure) and reserved excluesively for those, who do not believe everything what they are told by ground staff or officials like you and me... :rolleyes:

Most of the time I do not bother and go to normal if the queues are not extremely long as the baggage does not normally arrive by the time I clear immigrations. the worst it when I see a tour group following a flag and that sure means a long queue.

Very true - just a nuisance having to deal with such nonsense, especially coming off a long flight. I have my phrase to throw at them which (so far) has a 100% track record of them standing aside :)

Where you refer to is to the right of the auto and manned immigration for Thai citizens, which I always use. I have not observed good signage to this fast track and invariably it appears to be busy with the usual crowd frequently mentioned by another regular poster.

Pre covid there was a fast track in D to the far left for use of only TG BC & FC.

yes exactly I mean that one in Arrival Hall D on the far right behind immi for Thais. This one is the nearest îf you come from satellite, from C or lower D (until D4)

the one you mentioned to the far left for TG was installed maybe 2-3 years before Covid and then vanished... it had the better signage than the one to the far right

I just used Fast Track to enter the country. It's correct that it's no longer Hall 2, but next to the Thai passport lines in Hall 3.

Just went through the same nonsense - self-important person trying to reject me, I am saying BOI visa and pointing at the damn poster next to him… He tells me to ‘listen to him’ only after I tell him to address me and not my wife. I said what is the issue, look at the poster right behind you - he lectures me ‘BOI visa is not LTR’ both are eligible and both are on the damn poster… Had my wife not been there ready to kill me, I would have taken it further…

was this at Immigration Hall East when you turned to the right or at the Fast track in between the two Arrival halls?
