annoying....

The middle one, of which half is also used for crew. Which also happens to be the one all the fancy digital signs point to as fast track… I think we all need to start complaining to the airlines and AOT directly, as this nonsense is becoming too ridiculous..

Don't they still have the signs for the fast-track immigration when you are walking down the main corridors?

They used to direct you past the VOA area when coming from A-D D-F gates.

I hardly ever go at that middle one...as it is a longer walk coming from the gate and usually also from the immi to the luggage belts.....

Does fast track immigration at BKK apply to Economy Plus passengers on Thai Airways flights that don't have business class, e.g: VTE -> BKK? The price of economy plus is almost 3x a standard ticket, which is roughly equivalent to the cost of a business class Thai Airways ticket on a similar route. For example, KUL -> BKK has business class at the same price as Economy Plus on VTE -> BKK. I'm (optimistically) thinking maybe the benefits of Economy Plus on a flight without Business class seats are the same as Business class, given the price is equivalent, but the ticket doesn't list it as a benefit... so I'm not hopeful.

This is probably more of a question for the TG forum, albeit an interesting one considering the nature of TG selling Economy Plus in the first place. Given that Y+ used to be J until some petty people kicked up a media fuss over being sold Euro-style business on the A320 fleet, it would be a somewhat reasonable thing to expect in my view. But I suspect you might not be so lucky :(

Not TG but BKK related I have seen sometimes BR fare out of BKK cheaper on PE than Economy.

As of today it has been reported that BKK will no longer have a fast track lane for biz and first for arrivals including for Thai Airways and Thai elite members. We will now be queuing with everyone else.
Fast track departures still remain in place.

Not sure if this is temporary or permanent.

Fast track has been reinstated, you just need to show boarding pass and then you go through the middle

Amazing how a dumb social media person can stir up a massive rumour, isn’t it

I guess it was not only one blogger; saw some other "news" about that before the blogger picked it up

Davvidd Sep 17, 2024 9:37 pm

I wouldn't say it is some other news. Knowing how things are in Thailand, it is never the same two consecutive days. I personally have experienced the AOT staff completely ignoring even if you are in business class and sending all foreigners to the foreigners queue.

By "the middle" do you mean the area in between the two big immigration halls? That would be another flip-flop from my understanding.
