Arrived around 2 weeks ago, Through immigration in 10 minutes with a queue back to the top of the ramp, but waited a further 40 minutes for luggage on top of this. Around 5 minutes wait for passport control leaving as well.
Waited an hour coming back to BKK from a domestic flight for luggage as well, so this is the deciding factor it seems rather than immigration times. So fast track isn't really worth it. Great first post. Spot on. |
it will be interesting to hear, how waiting time at BKK arrival change from tomorrow when they start to check vaccination certificates and insurances...they will likely check this before you get to immigration and likely without a fast track...
|
I think the checking is obligated to airlines on the country of origin. Of course some countries require paperwork when returning from Thailand.

Just a heads up, they are talking about imposing Covid test and insurance requirements for travellers from China (which likely will include HK), so I would suggest following the news over the coming weeks to avoid any nasty surprises.
Insurance? My employer bought health insurance that covers almost everything including emergency treatment abroad. Is this enough? Do I need to buy another insurance to enter Thailand? That sounds like a waste of money. |

So far reports from arriving passengers are "no testing, no document checking" at BKK - reported by Richard Barrow.
Also "Deputy Prime Minister Anutin told a press conference at Suvarnabhumi Airport this afternoon that vaccination certificates will NOT be checked for entry to #Thailand. I’m told that TAT Newsroom will release an update about this soon. I will post here the second that happens." |
Returned to BKK yesterday. Nobody asked any questions about anything.
Went to FAST TRACK and it took me only few minutes to get to the taxi stand. |

We also used Fast Track, and we were through immigration and at baggage claim in only a few minutes (after a lengthy walk from the gate). |
On the 19th late morning it was chaos.

I am also arriving soon between 10-11am but luckily I have fast track...in worst case I would talk myself through the counters for Thais... |

Took me about 45mins last time I went. I was in December, busy season, but I arrived around 11PM.
|
I arrived on 2/2/23 at about 11am. There was a 0 person wait in the priority line and the process took about 2 minutes, but as I passed the regular line it looked pretty short as well.
