Wait time at BKK arrival immigration

Could someone please share your experience with wait time for the arrival immigration queue at BKK around 1-2 PM on a weekday? No Fast Track access but would like to hear from others if it's worth it to purchase. Thank you in advance for your input.

Normally now the queues are not long as no landing card to be filled either. Also depends on around what month? If you have checked luggage then I would say not worth it.

Thank you. It's for January first week. I guess there's no point in clearing immigration quickly via fast track only to wait for the bags to come out.

Agreed. And 1-2 PM is not what I would consider an extraordinarily busy immigration time of the day.

What about 5:15pm arrival on Jan. 2? I'm scheduled to fly SQ EWR-SIN in J class.

I don't check luggage.

How much does Fast Track cost?

1250 THB (about $35 US).

Won't you have fast track included by arriving in J class?

Oh I don't know that.

My last trip to BKK was 7 years ago.

Your J class boarding pass gives you access to Fast Track in BKK, so no need to worry.

agreed with SKT-DK
with J and F boarding pass you have free access to Fast Track in BKK (no vouchers anymore), it is however not so easy to find...best is to ask ground staff at the entrance of the immigration hall

Thanks for the tips.

I'll enter Thailand twice next month. SIN-BKK (SQ) and HKG-BKK (TG). Both in J Class.

Just a heads up, they are talking about imposing Covid test and insurance requirements for travellers from China (which likely will include HK), so I would suggest following the news over the coming weeks to avoid any nasty surprises.

Thanks for the alert.

I have a RT J ticket on TG, BKK-HKG-BKK which is non-refundable.

If Thailand imposes COVID test on pax from HK, would I be able to get the ticket refunded?

I doubt they would refund it as it would still be possible to travel, just not very convenient. Of course there is no harm in asking though - maybe you will be lucky.

At the moment it is only at the discussion stage according to todays Bangkok Post, and will be discussed at government level next week as a proposal from the MoPH.

Arrived around 2 weeks ago, Through immigration in 10 minutes with a queue back to the top of the ramp, but waited a further 40 minutes for luggage on top of this. Around 5 minutes wait for passport control leaving as well.

Waited an hour coming back to BKK from a domestic flight for luggage as well, so this is the deciding factor it seems rather than immigration times. So fast track isn't really worth it.

It seems that Thailand will require 2 vax shots for pax from all countries soon. This is OK.

My SQ 714 landed at 18:45. Went to Fast Track using J pass and exited immigration in 5 min.

Since I don't check bags, I went to AOT counter and booked a Camry for 1400 B plus 200 B tip to the driver.

Arrived at Riyal Orchid Sheraton at 19:50. Very smooth.
