Not sure what part of the Ren you're referring to but it doesn't remind me anything of the lounge which is wood/browns.

Likely you've confused the BR lounge with some other lounge.
Food options dinner are Thai and Chinese. They had basil pork rice and Chinese fried rice/chinese sausage with tom yam soup and a clear soup. Ice cream (Swensens) and oreos still intact + desert (some cake or other) in the fridge. They also had the sandwiches, fruits, and sausage puffs similar to the TG lounge.
Best thing is it is not as crowded as TG. Mostly BR pax. They've modified their closing time to 3am, to coincide with the last BR flight.

Nobody's noted that the Louis Tavern lounges are being refurbished and rebranded as Miracle Lounges. MAS puts you in one of these lounges now (near its usual gate) but I also have access to the other Miracle Lounges and Oman Air lounge with PP and of course the various One World lounges of which the new CX lounge is the best (food and booze options).
The Miracle Lounges appear to offer the same stuff whether labelled business or first class. But none would be the first choice. There is self-service wine (both types) but it can take a while to be replenished and the food offering at them is relatively poor (sandwiches, cakes etc.) compared to the proper food buffet at Oman and the food station at CX.

Not based on my last visit in May. I was escorted to my individual "room", with individual computer, and offered a menu of light foods, and French champagne.

As a non-drinker, I think BR > SQ. The tomyam soup is actually pretty good, as are the Chinese options. But I don't think it was mentioned here, but they also serve Pizza Company "Supreme Deluxe" pizza. If you aren't against eating pizza in Thailand it's a good choice and they are ~500THB a piece in store...
Toilets and showers are clean, and the seats are much more comfortable than SQ.
SQ does have better cheese though.

As I usually fly OW, the CX and JL lounges are my usual resting places. I like CX better, but recently I had a few ST flights and found the CI and AF lounges to be pretty good. Especially the AF F&B selection. However, CI had some Johney Walker Gold Reserve that was PDG. Good dim sum as well.

I'll be flying HAN-BKK-CDG next month in TG C with a 1h50m layover from ~10p-midnight. Looks like I technically have 13 lounges to choose from between *A and PP (TG, AF, BR, SQ, 'Louis Tavern'), so not sure which to choose. CDG is an A380, and it seems like the TG 380s tend to depart from the C gates. I'd like to get a neck/shoulder massage at the Royal Silk spa, but I'm guessing it would be tough to get in with such a short layover during the late evening rush.
If the spa isn't available, which lounge would be best for me? I prefer something with an actual bar/bartender, less busy, decent champagne/sparkling and/or whiskey, with a tiebreaker being quality snacks (I'll have meals onboard, so I'd prefer a quality snack over a mediocre buffet meal). Prefer to be near the CDG gate, but would consider a further lounge if quite a bit better.
