Short Trip to Thailand
Hello guys,
My first time travelling abroad, so hoping to get some feedback from you guys. Given the time constrains - I shall be travelling to Thailand from the 26th Feb to 4th march. Few things about me, early 20's, budget USD 3000/-, might travel w ith friend. During this period, I roughly expect to do this: Bangkok, Ayutthaya & Ching Mai - 2 Days - Very keen on shopping at Bangkok. visiting other 2 places just to get a feel of the Thai culture. Shortlisted the bar at scirocco & bed supper club. (thanks to the forum). Intend on living in a four star hotel here - any suggestions? Koh Pha Nang - 2 days - Witness the full moon party. Is it even worth it? any tips on where to stay and how to get there. Want to stay in the best resort there. not able to decide as there are way too many options. Remaining days want o check out Phuket, Pattaya and /or phi phi islands. Would prefer to stay close to bkk as gotta catch flight on 4th to get back home. Appreciate your comments! |

well I will just miss you by about a week. I don't see how your going to cover all these places in that short of time. You say your budget is in USD so I am asuming you are coming from the US or on leave. I would suggest Bangkok and maybe one other place at the most. Young guy 20's go to PAttaya. My thoughts... Bangkok 26-27-28 This will give you the whole weekend to shop and party in the city and get over the jet lag. Monday morning take a car sevice to Pattaya and spend 3 days there this will not give you the Thai cuture youw ere looking for but none the less you may enjoy the beach and other tourist stuff in the town.....You can take a car to the airport the morning of the 4th its about an hour and half drive. Just stay up all night on the 3rd. I have hotel info and transportation info if interested...PM me.
Have a good time I would save the full moon party for another trip. |
@360guy - Thanks for the warm welcome.
@Peterflys - Would love to meet a fellow member although I hav'nt been around for long. Ive got to agree to your logic. As its my first time travelling, I guess im biting off more than I can chew. I sort of feel compelled to visit at least one of these islands. I guess ill leave the cultural and/or religious visits for the next time. Which would the most most popular spots for tourists to socialize? |
