Why doesn't FT alphabetize correctly?

Why doesn't FT alphabetize correctly?
At the bottom of the front page of each forum there is a box that lists current active users. My FT screen name always comes up first even before the names that start with A. Why is that?

And when I look, my handle comes up first. So I think that must be the structure - each of us sees our own handle, then the handles of anyone else looking at posts within the forum.
