I just clicked on that link.... and see 3 threads numbered 1, 2, 3.
This is the first post: Yesterday I was flying from SEA to SNA. Many inbound flights were delayed due to fog in SEA. My flight, the 12:43 to SNA, was shown as at the gate and on time. We boarded at 12:15. At about 12:30, the flight attendant announces that they were not the crew for this flight, and that the crew was actually still inbound. Attendants from OAK, and pilots from San Jose. We sat on the plane for 1.5 hours before the pilots showed up. Now, simple question - obviously they knew that, at the time they boarded our plane, the crews were still at least an hour out of SEA. Why in the world would they make us sit on a hot, non-air conditioned plane instead of wait in the terminal? It's not like they had to free up the gate since the plane was going to sit there anyway? I was in FC, and no beverages were offered (by the stand in crew, or the other attendants who arrived about 15 minutes before the pilots) as we sat and sat... This was my first time on Alaska. Not a very good first impression of their operations! The attendants were friendly and the pilots apologized for being late, which were nice touches. My gripe is not with the delay, but instead with boarding us when they knew the flight would be delayed by more than an hour. |
I did it again .. .and still the first post is listed as #2
