Me either, although accessing the forums themselves without doing a search or without looking for threads to which I am subscribed (MyFlyerTalk) works fine.

Same here.. especially for "MyFlyertalk" and "New Posts"

bocastephen Mar 1, 2007 8:04 am

Me too...started around 9pm ET last night. I can access threads from the main page, but any attempt to access My Flyertalk or private messages results in the same database error everyone else is seeing.

I'm back in. Thanks, Tim and Joshua.

Working fine. Got into my profile, started a new thread.

One odd thing about the new thread, though. (It's the one in the AA forum titled "'Account Activity:' Status Change?") When it displayed the new thread my opening post had totally irrelevant content from somewhere else. I clicked "edit" to fix it, the edit box showed the correct content (mine) right away, I clicked Save and this time the correct content showed up in the post. Sounds like a database problem there too, though perhaps a different one and not quite as serious.

Far more serious. Just look at what it's showing for your post:

If you have the patience, try the cities one by one (e.g "AMS :: BA+").

But from memory, F to SYD has never been a great deal. You might want to consider competitors - try travelmood.co.uk and airnet.co.uk who hae Etihad for £3700.

If you're particularly keen, CAI-SYD (not via LON) on Etihad in F is £1700.

You'll have to Edit/Save to fix it.

To show an example of this issue, the post that I am quoting currently shows this when you read the thread:

The problem is rather inconsistent and seems to fix itself on the occasions where it's happened, but it's a definite problem.

Site Down this afternoon?

Was the site down this afternoon? I tried from two totally separate locations and I got the database error after the front page.

geckoflyer Mar 1, 2007 12:34 pm

Yes - it seems that they are doing some work on the site as the entire forum was down briefly this afternoon.

Kagehitokiri Mar 1, 2007 5:13 pm

Yeah, I'm glad FlyerTalk is came back on again this afternoon. What is reason Flyertalk has been temporarily down all morning but, I tried get on the post onto the news from airlines. It does not work for me at all when FT is gave me the database error this site. How much longer when FT will restore the system onto Internet. I think Tim will get more entire time to fixed the forums. Anything suggestion problem this website.
