Just basic search no specifics and also trying certain forums, comes back with No results when I can use the Google search and it comes up with something. BTW I am on a Mac using Safari.

safari on the mac should be no issue, that is what I use :), I am trying to duplicate your problem could you tell me the words you were trying to find.

This does not always give only the results from a particular forum, but it should work most of the time, with the google search enter the search term and then the name of the forum you are looking for so in the case NRT Mileage Run and that will give you some good results.

Tim, I gotta agree with derpelikan (and others)... using the native (non-Google) search for three-character airport codes is fundamental to FT usage...

Will we ever be able to bring back this capability?

any chance to fix the 'bolding' issue? This really makes things difficult.

Yes, this is something that we are looking at changing/creating alternatives for. At this point in time google is the best alternative.

I will make a report of this as a bug to the vBulletin team. Thanks,

I have tried to search in the Marriott forum for LAX and Los Angeles - neither term found anything.

Is the search function broken?

Kiwi Flyer Feb 1, 2007 1:04 pm

Currently FT search doesnt handle 3 letter words. Angeles should work (I have used that updating Hilton hotel master thread).

Angeles doesn't work - I am trying to find hotels in the Marriott forum.

Just did a search for angeles on the entire site as well as in the Marriot forum without any issues. Try logging out an back in, see if that solves the issue.
